What are the ingredients to make Chi Tea (not Chai)?

As a practitioner of Yoga, Tai Chi, and Kung Fu, I am interested in making a tea that increases the amount and effects of chi on the body. I have found many sites that sell extracts, or premade teas, but I am looking to make some chi tea from scratch (and don’t mind having to purchase the herbs). If unable to find ingredients, I would be satisfied with herbs that have a similar effect.

  1. hi, I am a student of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I think I can answer your question, you wanted to know what herbs to take to tonify qi. First, you need to find out what your body type is. For example, if you are a person with heat in the body. You should not take Ren Shen to tonify qi because the property of that herb is warming, and that will exacerbate the heat condition you have. For a personalized herbal formula, you need to consult with a herbalist. Please note, there are tons of formulas you can get over the counter, but not all are safe to take. Traces of toxic minerals/chemicals were found in some of them.
