EDIT: and dont mind the people who say really stupid comments like “keep your hands down and get punched in the face” There is obviously an olympic style for points, as well as the practical street or real world confrontation…. please dont be closed minded like most morons who only know what they see in movies.
Took it about a year not one of the best arts fancy kicks but limited to style and blocks are way too brutal you just can’t stop some objects the way they teach you in real life situations broke a few bones tryin some of the blocks but lots of sparring wich I found very helpfull we would line up and rotate so you got to spare with everyone in the class Master Lee was an 8th degree black belt and he was great.
Tae Kwon Do is a sport, it is not a righting art. It has flashy things like the roundhouse, scissor kick, crescent kick and there is no way you would use those in a real fight.
2nd Degree Black Belt in Aikido, 7 years of Jeet Kun Do, 3 years of Muay Thai, and 5 years of Jui Jitsu, and a 13-3 mixed martial arts record.
