Am I a babbling brook?

I like to meditate on my inner being, my motives, my actions. It makes me wise. I become wiser with seeking the counsel of others. There are those who’s opinion on this site I admire and look for their comment. You know who you are. This quote came to my attention this morning after my meditation. Now I am asking for wise counsel.

Listen to the sound of water. Listen to the water running through chasms and rocks. It is the minor streams that make a loud noise; the great waters flow silently.

The hollow resounds and the full is still. Foolishness is like a half-filled pot; the wise man is a lake full of water.

Is it wrong to meditate if you are a Christian?

Like to the point that you attain a realm of lights and different colors and feel like a light being wrapped in peace? Is this evil? Or, just a deeper connection to God and the heavens? I don’t pray to anyone but God. Meditation helps me find answers to the things that burden my heart. When I reach that level, I feel like I am light, like pure energy. Since I am only a new Christian, do I have to stop this?
Brianna, I am sorry you feel that way. I still wish that you have peace and love and are blessed in all your endeavors.
