How do you speed up punches and make kicks more powerful, faster, more balanced, and higher?

I used to take a fighting style called Zenshin Ki Do (Karate), but I’m currently not partcipating because my mom took me out for bad grades. I haven’t practicing in a while, but I still know most of the techniques I was taught and would like to fuse them with boxing and street instincts. I would like to know how to make improvements to hone my skills and make this style more innovative.

what do you think is a great fighting style for me??

I’m trying to find if there is fighting stlye that i would like to try…I want to be able to move fast, and be able for my hits to be very accurate and powerful without constant hitting like pressure point…..also i want it to help me be able to balance, like tai chi.

how do u make a fighting style of your own ?

i love fight and i get ..people had said to me “pleasure out of it ” but that say they dont understand how i fight like i do they say they can never guess the movments and seems risky. i love pain i dont bleed from my knuckles and im easily angered my body has no rythum but i move insanely fast to 230 punds i move as fast as though i was 140 pds Also WHATS TAI CHI ? and some other ways to train the body ?

I want to learn a realistic (kyokushin, MT, boxing) style of martial arts but will I lose my teeth from it?

I want to learn an effective fighting style that spars with “aliveness” (live opponents/movements not role playing attacks) such as Muay Thai, Kyokushin, etc. but around 4 or so years ago I got my braces removed and have had straight, perfect teeth since then. These teeth cost me a lot of money.

Is this something to worry about in live fight training/sparring? Are teeth something that are usually lost a lot of times while sparring? Do mouth guards provide suffiecent protection against this sort of thing?

Also, don’t suggest anything like American Karate (which is actually bastardised Tae Kwon Do), Aikido or Chinese MA. I would hate to learn a style that doesn’t prepare you for a real fight by teaching you slow motion poses that don’t work. That would be a waste of time and money. I would rather not learn anything at all than do that. Real sparring is the only way to prepare for a real fight. But then again at the same time, I wouldn’t want to lose my teeth like in a real fight
yes this is for self defense purposes btw, but I also see some health benefits from the training invovled so thats why I’m interested. for those two reasons mostly.

What is the most effective stand-up fighting style? Muay Thai, Karate, Tae Kwon Do …?

Not the most overall effective fighting style. BJJ combined with muay thai has proven to be the most effective overall. But why is Muay Thai chosen in preference to Tae Kwon Do?
