The Spiritual Side to all martlal arts?

a true martial arts to me as I am discovering as time proceeds is beyond just fighting it seems the more I practice my martial art the less trouble I get into and the less fights I get into you would think It would encourage more fighting but it has actually made me turn from a gang banger cholo fool into a peaceful regular guy I have always been humble but I used to carry a vast amount of anger and depression which has greatly ceased. the wing chun I practice emphasizes sensitivity the tai chi emphasizes even more sensitivity and the nui gong (Chi Gong) breathing exercises emphasize focus peace softness and positive energy I remember before i entered martial arts I had two choices I has a few hundred bucks in my pocket ( a rare thing for my broke a$$ lol ) now I had two options I was going to go through with fully .

1. Buy a gun
2. Use the money to join a martial arts school and learn how to fight

I knew the outcome of option one I would of killed someone with the gun, would of been hurt badly, commited suicide with the gun, or ended up in prison from using the gun. those were the only outcomes and I knew all of them

However I didnt know and still dont know the outcome of choosing martial arts to me it seems there are endless outcomes I am enthused to learn but not even for the fighting so much anymore to me thats just the tip of the iceberg a very little aspect that comes with a larger gain what the entire gain is im not so sure its outcomes like I say are limitless. But to me it is a spritual journey to discover my true being it is something I will do for my entire life

I just wonder the spiritual side of each martial art do you think that is real as i do? if so do you also believe different martial arts effect you spiritually than others? how has it effected your life?

Is this a bad thing to study so much?

Right now Im learning Wing Chun as my primary martial art as well as tai chi push hands and chi gong In addition to these ill be learning brazillian jujitsu and eskrima as well. My main focus is wing chun I study it longer and practice more often than the other arts. but do you think this is too much stuff to be learning at once? I dont think so I mean when I practice one i dont practice any of the others and get them all mixed up I just really like martial arts.

tai chi, qi gong, falun dafa, yoga….?

i’m looking to explore something new, but don’t know which to choose. Looking to give balance to my life, decrease stress, learn to clear my mind, etc. Anyone familiar with these and have any suggestions? btw i’m 21 if that matters for anything

Why do we have to touch the roof of the mouth with our tip of the tongue while doing tai chi and qi gong?

The teacher told men to touch the roof of their mouths with the tip of their tongue and women to touch the roof with hook-shaped tip of their tongues. Why is this necessary?
Also, why is it useful to swallow our mouth fluids during practices?

MARTIAL ARTS [1/3] QI GONG guide to “ENLIGHTENMENT”: In other words, DEMONIC POSSESSION

Uploaded by SEK4110 on Apr 16, 2010 Thanks Chickie! The clips within parts one and three of this series are extremely disturbing and may not be suitable for all viewers. These clips however leave no room for doubt regarding the evil nature of “Orgone”, Chi Kung and other occult practices. Kissing the Qi: Qi Gong and Tai Chi Qi (also spelled “ch’i” or “ki”) is from the ancient Chinese religion of Taoism. Taoism had its origins in early Chinese Shamanism. These early Shamans believed there was a force in the universe, in nature, and within them. By cultivating the force within (qi or ch’i) through various exercises, movements, special diets and herbs, breathing exercises, and meditation (altered states), they believed they could enhance their life force and be healthier and live longer. Some even taught that you could attain immortality. The exercises were also used for divination (www.chikung-unlimited.com This is the origin of Qi Gong (also spelled Chi Kung). “Chinese shamans used these exercises and meditations to commune with nature and natural forces and to increase their powers of healing and divination” (Kenneth S. Cohen, “What is Qigong?” www.qigonghealing.com Qi Gong was absorbed into Taoism: “Qigong was the ideal way for Taoists to realize their goal of wuji, an empty, alert, boundless state of consciousness, and xing ming shuang xiu, ‘spirit and body cultivated in balance’” (Cohen).
