Lol…I read the phone book just to prove to myself that I could, and also, because I was originally from a VERY small town (population under 1,000) and moved to a large city (San Antonio, Texas) the phone book actually fascinated me. I wanted to know what there was to do, where it was, where my neccessities were, ect. So yeah, I ended up just reading the phone book. I got curious. Like I wanted to know stuff like “ok, I’m in San Antonio..I wonder how many “Martinez’s” there are here?” and stuff like that.
Am I a babbling brook?
I like to meditate on my inner being, my motives, my actions. It makes me wise. I become wiser with seeking the counsel of others. There are those who’s opinion on this site I admire and look for their comment. You know who you are. This quote came to my attention this morning after my meditation. Now I am asking for wise counsel.
Listen to the sound of water. Listen to the water running through chasms and rocks. It is the minor streams that make a loud noise; the great waters flow silently.
The hollow resounds and the full is still. Foolishness is like a half-filled pot; the wise man is a lake full of water.
-Sutta Nipata
Thanking you in advance!
