Please! I need a personal mentor/instructor that can teach me Northern Shaolin/Tai Chi. i live in Michigan!!!

i really need a personal instructor who is patient but strict. He/She also has to be wise and very experienced. I can’t go out of state and i live in michigan. Kind of a Karate Kid type of ordeal. I am hoping I don’t have to pay but I understand if a REASONABLE fee is requested. I would love if the instructor took me under their wing as an apprentice-sort-of-student. Like passing down a tradition or a legacy. If you are this instructor or you know someone who might be interested, please let me know asap!!!

Does internal kung fu actually stand a chance against external kung fu?

I don’t practice martial arts but I’m kind of interested in this whole idea of chi, but does it actually work?. Would someone who does BaGua stand a chance against someone who does an external style like Northern Shaolin?

I want to learn martial arts but not sure of which one?

I keep asking my mum to get me into martial arts and she keeps saying, “I’ll get you into the Korean one down in Melbourne” I don’t care which martial arts I do as long as I learn how to do self defence for myself. Personally I want to do martial arts that involve Avoid and evading. Kind of like Akido and Bagua, Hsing Yi and maybe some others like Northern Shaolin style of Kung Fu, Hung Gar, Tai Chi and Chu Gar Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu.

If you know any of these martials arts avaliable in Australia, Victoria then please tell me :) .
