self defence and skill?

hey whats a good type of martial arts that treaches self defence, disiplin and gains muscle tone. like a have a brother and hes nuts and he kicks,screams and is violent at time. i want to be able to defent my self, im also starting hs in a year and well u no, want to no a good self defence. what i mena when i say martial arts is like tyquando(well u no) karate, and so on. Also i live in sac, CA

Whats the best way to get your girlfriend to lose weight, excercise and eat healthier?

my gf isnt fat but she’s starting to get a little bit of pudge (she still looks good), but i want to quash the problem while i can. plus im a somewhat of a health nut, and i i dont like heavy women (her sister is really heavy and scares me that she might look liker her), so it drives me nuts about how she pretty much lvies off of candy bars, potato chips, and ice cream and rarely excercises except for yoga. i see it and get mad and just wanna rip it out of her hands, 1) because i dont want her to get heavy and 2) for her own health. ive tried to broach the subject gently and say its for her own good to avoid health problems later on, but she always gets really uspet (and she was anorexic a few years back so i have to go easy.) anyone have any good ideas to motivate her more without really ticking her off?

Anyone else go nuts when they’re sick?

Unfotunately yesterday I was in bed with flu – as was i today….

Now the thing is – I have ridiculuos dreams when I’m not feeling well – and was having a bit of a thinking-i-was-uma crisis after watching kill bill last night and I kind of karate kicked my cat against the wall (shame poor baby – she’s fine though) and yelled in my sleep all night…

Now my husband keeps looking at me funny….

im 5’6 and 133. how much will i weigh this time next year if i…?

eat vegetarian style, semi vegan, nuts, fruits, salads, vegies, salads, drink lots of water, nutrition bars sometimes,whole grains. (with the occasional indulges of fcourse, but only when i crave it)
if i run 1-1.5 hours a week, 120 minutes of pilates a week, and 90 minutes of additional cardio a week. (ill be at school from 8am to 5 pm, then work after that so getting more excersize in is too hard)
of course i wont follow this exactly but im pretty sure ill stick close to it.
i want to start living a healthy lifestyle with a good diet and excersize. im 16 next summer im going to stay with my aunt in paris. shes a fasion designer so im thinking if i get skinny enough that could open doors for me wether its designing modeling or just owrking with a magazine. im already fit but do you think 115 is possible???????
