What age is a good age to start my son on Karate lessons?

I love the idea of my little boy learning these skills. He is two. How can he be influenced? What should I know as a parent? How can I learn more about this art?

My 4 y son is scared of his karate teacher/class I signed contract 3 wks ago what do i do he cries and scream?

I would just like to know what others feel we should do as parents I don’t like showing him he can quit but I don’t like seeing him so upset each Tues/Thurs crying uncontrollably. He never acts like that otherwise. I know lots of good things come out of structure but mentally I am not sure what to expect from this later if we force him to go. Help! Being a parent is harder than I ever thought! Oh by the way, this child is my one and only and he is loved more than I can express here in words so he does receive lots of love during and after all this is going on:)

My daughters are 7. They will not listen and have no respect for me. Any suggestions? I am the end of my rope!

For example tonight I took them to kids karate class and I had to get on to them more than 10 times for not listening and arguing with each other. When I made them sit down they both started crying so much and so hard that it became very embarrasing. I had to make them go in the hallway and then they just got louder and louder. I have tried grouding and taking things away, but nothing is working. I don’t want to start spanking them. It is like this anytime I take them somewhere. Their father and I are divorced and when he has them they do what they want and he babies them. I feel like the bad guy because I am always having to teach them respect and to use their manners. But it is just not working. I am loosing my mind and can’t handle it anymore. I feel like a total failure as a parent and sometimes like tonight I wish I wasn’t a parent. I love them very much and just want some respect. I tell them to do something and get onto them and they just look at me and grin.
Their father is no help. He tells me he will turn them against me. He tells me it is my fault for the way they are.

What martial art to take next…?

I mainly do Taekwondo but I have dabbled in some other martial arts. I understand that Taekwondo is very… how should I put it…. umm has sever flaws. I am planning to continue my parent’s Taekwondo business (do not bash our tkd. unlike other schools we are very tradtitional to the art, not merely commercial, and do not deal very much with “sport” taekwondo.) I am 15 years old. Currently I am in Korea for Tkd training as well as Kendo training. I would like some suggestions on what martial art to take next and the order I should probably take it.
I have done some Hapkido, Kung fu, Tai chi, and Judo but not enough to fully grasp all concepts of the art. I want to slowly start and attempt to master the basics of most martial arts. So… I need help with a starting point.
I am thinking of doing Hapkido, Judo, or Jujitsu first. Later moving onto Kung fu (I will be going to taiwan for some time for tkd training later) Muay Thai I am considering but… it seems awkward with the rest.
