i have had an insane semester… and body fat % is up and muscle tone is down…posture is bad… i looked so good before i came here. anyway, i have 3-5 weeks of freedom (2 weeks of partial freedom) and i signed up for personal 6 pilates classes (i used to do it) but they are expensive. i dont have gym membership @ my parents but they have a treadmill… not sure what else to do… plus i miss the food from my home area so i dont want to go on a big time diet… maybe just need to lose 5 lbs or so… but mostly tone and improve posture. any thoughts?
oh – pilates doesn’t really build muscle that much… so that’s where i’m concerned… maybe if i just combined pilates with the treadmill, i’d be ok but i want to regain some muscle
I am trying to get my standing posture correct for yogs/meditation. How do you stand to get the proud holding of lifting your adbomen over your pelvis? Do I tuck my butt in and pell my navel to my spine? Or, is it more analogous to how a pregnant woman walks with her belly first or to how a model stands? Also , when sitting cross-legged, do I sit up straight and relax or sit up straight and rigid?

My voice coach encourages learning yoga to help with loosening up and posture. Does anyone know of a good DVD (that I could, like, buy on Amazon) that I could do at home?
I practise standing qi gong gor 2-3 years.In a posture called “holding a baloon”, i have a strange sensation that i hold an actual solid ball.Am i feeling my own qi (chi) ?Is that weird sensation what am i supposed to feel?
