Hit plateau and need a new routine?

I’ve been eating 1400 calories a day and doing 60 minutes on the elliptical machine along with sit ups on a stability ball most days of the week and I have lost 20 pounds since August but the past two months I have not lost any thing. Do I need to cut my calories down to 1200 a day and mix up my work-out? I’m thinking of using my new pilates dvds (25 minute total work out and 18 minute ab work out) every morning and doing the elliptical 4 days a week for 60 minutes… does that sound like enough or do I need more? I have a nutrionist but she never answers her e-mails and with the holidays going on it’s hard to get an appointment in.

what do you think of this workout? personal trainers anyone?

Hi, i really want to get tighter abs and back and leg muscles in 2 months time. I have tried on and off but have failed as I didnt keep up to my commitment and diet. But this time, for real I’m gonna try and stick to this routine.
Morning: 1/2 hour of stretching, 15 minutes running, 15 minutes cardio or swimming. Breakfast: egg sandwich.
Lunch: Perogies, Chicken Breasts. Evening: 2 hours of taekwando.
Dinner: Yoghurt, Rice and little meat and veggies. And throw in lot of fruits and a couple of granola bars/peanuts.

Do you think I’ll tire too easily coz i workout in the morning and then taekwondo in the evenings? Does your body really build up if its tired? What are your thoughts on this. Thanks everybody.
yea, i never go hungry, and make sure im always eating food relatively higher in proteins and moderate in carbs. Also, i do taekwondo everyday…its just that i decided if i can pack in an early morning workout, i can get fitter faster and more effectively.

Do pilates help you lose weight or do they just tone your body?

I walk/jog or do a cardio workout for 40 -45 minutes 5 times a week. I also do callisthenics with a little bit of light weight training for about 20 minutes 5 times a week. Now, I am wanting to incorporate pilates into my weekly routine. I plan on switching off with callisthenics/weights and pilates every other day. Will pilates help me lose weight or will they just help me tone my body? Also, I am a beginner with pilates, is there anything I need to know before I start? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
