Taekwondo in real life?

why dose every one think all TKD fighter are going to used some fancy kick in real life were not dumb.i only had to fight to save my life onces and all i did side kick in the gut and when he was down i ran i’m not going to stick around and beat the crap out of him.
simple move are going to save your life.
ex. a good front kick in the gut or balls and then punch to the face most likely take the guy out
and EVERY self defence class will tell you that

The Spiritual Side to all martlal arts?

a true martial arts to me as I am discovering as time proceeds is beyond just fighting it seems the more I practice my martial art the less trouble I get into and the less fights I get into you would think It would encourage more fighting but it has actually made me turn from a gang banger cholo fool into a peaceful regular guy I have always been humble but I used to carry a vast amount of anger and depression which has greatly ceased. the wing chun I practice emphasizes sensitivity the tai chi emphasizes even more sensitivity and the nui gong (Chi Gong) breathing exercises emphasize focus peace softness and positive energy I remember before i entered martial arts I had two choices I has a few hundred bucks in my pocket ( a rare thing for my broke a$$ lol ) now I had two options I was going to go through with fully .

1. Buy a gun
2. Use the money to join a martial arts school and learn how to fight

I knew the outcome of option one I would of killed someone with the gun, would of been hurt badly, commited suicide with the gun, or ended up in prison from using the gun. those were the only outcomes and I knew all of them

However I didnt know and still dont know the outcome of choosing martial arts to me it seems there are endless outcomes I am enthused to learn but not even for the fighting so much anymore to me thats just the tip of the iceberg a very little aspect that comes with a larger gain what the entire gain is im not so sure its outcomes like I say are limitless. But to me it is a spritual journey to discover my true being it is something I will do for my entire life

I just wonder the spiritual side of each martial art do you think that is real as i do? if so do you also believe different martial arts effect you spiritually than others? how has it effected your life?

If Star Wars was real, what side would you choose & Who would you be or a different specie?

Rebellion side:
i would be a male human fedi knight from Naboo with 2 lightsabers blue & green and my name would be Ki-Maitay my favorite move would be:(i though of this move myself) to hover the sables close to my hands and spin them in a circle, fast (my hands are out-worth to the side a little) and while spinning them, i throw by using the force not (schwartz) towards my enemies; they come back like a boomerang.

Bad side:
gender: Sikifouw, home: unkown, i would look scary & mean & trying to be the most powerfullty sith, my name would be Darth Sokcothoah and not being on the Empire side. i would fight them and destroy many stormstroopers. i will have 2 lightsaber and it can go together as a duel lightsaber, i would use it like those kung-fu movies, fast, actuate & fierce, everybody in all the galaxyies would know me & fear me. & maybe became a sith lord.

Is it possible for a Tai-Chi martial artist to best a Boxer?

Please provide your side of the argument with back up versus one statement opinions, thank you! I’m really curious as to how a tai chi user could defeat a boxer in combat.

taekwondo side kick drills?

i’m taking my black belt test in taekwondo in about 17 days, but my side-kick needs some work. my instructor says that i need to recoil my leg more after i’m done with the kick. what are some good drills and excercises to do to help with this? much appreciated
i mean i don’t really pull it back much i just kinda let it fall to the floor but i want to get over this bad habit so i need some drills to help with it.
