Pilates?????

If I do pilates will it done me up and build muscle. I am already thin and figured if I cant gain weight (not that im not allowed, just physically cannot) i might as well be toned? I dont want to get any thinner though….just in my stomach because theres a pouch

Recommend a Martial Arts school in Northern NJ?

I’m looking to get back into Martial Arts, but I need a good school. I’m already a Taekwondo blackbelt. I’m trying to avoid TKD, because I cannot stomach sport/olympic TKD. Perferably in or surrounding Jersey City (NYC is out of the question). Muay Thai, Capoeira, BJJ, etc…
Yeah I know about him, he’s on Bergen Ave in my city. I’ve already trained in Escrima and that style is not aerobic enough for me.

Anyone else? I’m looking for a style that will improve my physical condition at the same time.

How can I calm myself down for labor tonight?

This will be my second baby and I’m still so nervous! I go in tonight to be induced for medical reasons. I’m so nervous that it is making me sick to my stomach…I just picked up this bad habit over the past year. I used to be a pretty tough person and care-free.

My first experience was scary, and the staff at the hospital made it hell for me. Fortunately, I’m going to a different hospital, and with a different doctor. I’m telling myself that it’s not going to be as bad this time. I don’t know if that’s what is making me so scared. I’m thinking about the pain, and if my baby will be healthy, etc. I have my squishy ball and some kind of Tai Chi music playing right now, and it’s not doing as much as much as I’m hoping for.

What can else can I do so I’m not as scared or nervous? Any nice techniques or any advice is really appreciated!

No ab-strength, no lower back strength. How can I improve this physical weakness?

I have no “core” strength AT ALL whatsoever. I’ve tried yoga and pilates. The sad thing is the classes are a mixture of all levels, the even sadder thing is I don’t think I can even do BEGINNER yoga/pilate classes! I have no flexibility, I can’t do situps, I can’t reach my toes, I CAN do a minimal amount of crunches. Any advice on how I can increase my “core” strength? I am not overweight nor am I thin. Just average, slightly chubby with a small stomach. I’m 5’2 and I weight 120lbs. Any tips would be great, thanks!

Surefire Exercises/Pilates that will get me a very small waist?

I look like my Father and Shaped like him. I do the video tapes at least 3 times a week: Abs of Steel 1 to 3, Washboard Abs, Jane Fonda High Impact Aerobics, JF challenge. I still got this Fat stomach and a straight waist. I need some hardcore exercises. I want to go to a club this summer in a 40′ 50′s strapless dress with a very small waist. Hook me up?
