What are some stretches I can do to become more flexible?

I know yoga is a great way but I mean like I wake up in the morning waht kind of stretches can i do and do before i go to bed. Someone told me if your stretch everyday when you wake up and before you go to bed you will become more flexible. What are sone stretches that I can do to acomplish this? I am so darn stiff anymore that I cannot get comfortable when I sleep.

Injured myself and needing advice on recovery.?

I do Taekwondo, and a few months ago I did a particularly high kick without any kind of warm up, and even as I was doing it, I felt my hamstring stretch, maybe even tear a little but couldn’t stop. Since then, it’s hurt to do any kind of hamstring stretch, but after I’m properly warmed up my leg doesn’t hurt at all, no matter how high I kick. The problem is it hurts while I’m stretching at the start of class- I have to go very slowly for the first twenty minutes before I can get serious. I took a break for a month, and that helped a bit, but in just a few days it was starting to hurt and there’s been no real improvement. Do you have any advice about what I should do to heal as soon as possible?

I can do most Pilates mat stretches OK, but can’t even start the “The Saw.” Which of my muscles is too tight?

Since I can’t even begin The Saw (I’m too stiff) I’m not getting any more flexible. I’m trying to stretch my hamstrings by touching my toes each day, but this hasn’t helped so far. I’d like to find out which muscle groups are too tight (in addition to my hamstrings) and find out some remedial stretch exercises.
