I want to take up martial arts, and am debating between styles. I was thinking ninjitsu, ju-jitsu, or also possibly Kung Fu. There is a place nearby that teaches Shaolin Styles of kung fu, but it is highly expensive and I hear that these are the absolute hardest styes to learn. What would be a good 1st style? I am 20 years old and I have been weight lifting for about a year.
1st question: Do different styles of Kung Fu have different techniques for the Chinese Broadsword or any other weapon for that matter?..I was watching a video on youtube and what the person was doing looked very similar to what we do…my style is Tien Shan Pai
2nd question: Can you direct chi energy into a weapon?

I know other styles of Kung Fu emphasizes on meditation, channeling Chi,and performing the Horse stance during training. However,I’m not familiar with sanda/san shou.Does it emphasizes on meditation, channelig Chi, and performing Horse Stance exercises during training?Or is Sanda/San Shou just a form of Kung Fu that is all about fighting and sports competition? Please inform me!
