I am a beginner martial artist with limited experience. I love Tai-Chi, but want to supplement it with a hard style like Judo or Muay Thai. A good friend of mine who has been involved in the martial arts for many years (Kenpo) says that I should stick to one for a few years and at least attain a brown belt in one art first. What do you think?

My 9 year old brother is in 2nd grade and it is becoming somewhat of a requirement in the public elementary schools to learn this Tai Chi method/ form of meditation. He said that they had to sit down, close there eyes, and then with their hands act like they were molding an invisible ball….
I’m sorry… what the hell is this crap? and why the hell is it being almost forced upon my little brother for in a public school… ??
No, actually my brother hates it. We believe that yoga or anything corresponding with a self meditative stance is wrong. *Roman Catholic* so yes it bothers me very much… and no.. people, you all cannot actually feel the ball.

Ok there is guy (ex friend) in my school who wants to fight me for no real reason, imean he’s the one that takes the p*** out of me all the time. i do muay thai and he is black belt in karate but im stronger but hes more exeprienced. what should i do? Fight or aviod it and let him call me names?
