Have you had a spiritual experience in a labyrinth?

A Labyrinth, not to be confused with a maze, is a medieval meditation tool. Some of the first labyrinths were discovered in Crete. There is only one path…to the center, and the same path to exit so your thoughts can be centered on your purpose and not on getting lost. Early churches placed labyrinths in their vestibules to encourage centering before entering the church. In the past few years, there has been a researgance of this wonderful…peaceful meditative tool.

Any ideas on some wooden weapons that I can make.?

I am a boatbuilder, and I would like to make some kind of weapon, or training tool(s) for my teacher. It’s gotta be legal.
He is focused on the internal arts primarily.
Liu He Ba Fa, Tai Chi, 12 animal forms, you get the idea.
He competed with external arts for years, bla, bla, bla…..
He trains with weapons very often, and is pretty bummed on the quality of most available, affordible weapons.
He is a complete martial artist, period.
I would like to show some gratitude with a very well made…something.
Any ideas?
I forgot to mention that I AM NOT, nor will I EVER be considered an asskisser. This will be a gift to someone who gave me the best thing that has ever happened to me.
It is out of respect.

another question for buddhists: marijuanna as a meditation tool?

this isn’t just a dumb stoner question, either. do buddhist scriptures or stories about buddha mention marijuanna use? did people in buddha’s time smoke pot? did buddha himself, before or after enlightenment? do any buddhists agree that it is a good tool for meditation?
just responding to student for life…weed doesn’t act the same way for everyone; when i smoke it i get extra aware. sure, it makes some people seem dumb, but if used for a purpose it can have the opposite effect. personally, it helps me to concentrate and it never really “clouds” my mind, and some of my best ideas and revelations have come to me while high. anyway, thanks for the input.
