Yeah, I know you all know who I am. I practice Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu. Today, I took my test for my blue sash. I passed, and now I am going to learn a new weapon form. (The first weapon form I learned is Pan Lung Bien Gan)
I have a choice between:
1.) Longstaff
2.) Straightsword
3.) Tai Chi Broadsword
4.) Fan
Eventually I will learn all of them, but I have to choose one of these to learn for a requirement. I have no idea which one to choose. My Sifu said I could try all of them and find one I like. I was thinking about the Tai Chi broadsword and/or the fan. Especially the fan. (I do believe he said its metal?) I’ve seen people do fan forms, and just think they’re totally cool, particularly the sound they make when they’re opened. (I saw my Sifu do this form once, and the noise he made when he opened the fan scared the hell out of me, and it was louder than some of the “Karate people’s” yells–no offense to Karate practitioners)
I know it is all completely up to me, but what do you think? Give me an opinion. Out of those four weapons, which is the hardest to learn?
