a question on prayer: for those who don’t believe and/or don’t pray?

While I agree that not all people who follow organized religion actively pray, there has been scientific evidence to suggest that prayer has a positive effect on a person’s health and well-being.

If you don’t pray, or if you do not believe in a higher power to whom you can pray, how would you evaluate this concept and its supporting research?

Do you ever try anything like meditation, Tai Chi, Yoga, anything like that which you believe may have the same effects as prayer?
