She tells me she wants to get in better physical shape, and I buy her all of the equipment she needs, the running shoes, the outfits, the pilates mat and ball, the videotapes, the baby jogger, the iPod, but she never does anything. Am I being manipulated, or is there something else I can do to get her motivated without getting angry?

Today, I stood up for my wife at a sushi bar and (sad to say) I was not expecting the guy to hit me back for some reason. I never fought anyone before, but enough was enough with the obese jokes about my wife. Well, I suppose I should have taken karate lessons when I was younger.It’s funny now I think about me flying over the tables…
The bad part about it was one of the guy’s friends contacted my wife after we had left, and apologized. The friend said the guy was drunk, lonely, jealous and 
homosexual. She said he started talking about my wife because he had figured (for some reason unknown to me) I was gay.
Needless to say, that didn’t brighten up the situation. The gays said they would pay for the damage. My wife thinks I should apologize as well… What do you think?
Maybe if I was alittle younger.. and buffer..
Henry’s new job had him spending a lot of time on the road, and out of concern for his wife’s safety he visited a pet shop to look at watchdogs.
“I have just the dog for you,” said the salesman, showing him a miniature Pekingese.
“Come on,” Henry protested,”That little thing couldn’t hurt a flea.”
“Ah, but he know’s karate,” the salesman replied. “Here, let me show you.” He pointed to a cardboard box and ordered, “Karate the box!” Immediately the dog shredded it. The salesman then pointed to an old wooden chair and instructed, ” Karate the chair!” The dog reduced the chair to matchsticks. Astounded, Henry bought the dog.
When he got home, Henry announced that he had purchased a watchdog, but his wife took one look at the Pekingese and was unimpressed. ” That scrawny thing couldn’t fight his way out of a paper bag!” she said.
“But the Pekingese is special,” Henry insisted. “He’s a karate expert.”
“Now I’ve heard everything,” Helen replied. “Karate my foot!”
