Is it just me or is there absolutley no place in England where you can find a Taekkyon instructor. I live in Stockport which is in Manchester but I can’t seem to find any institute that teaches it. Why is this?
And no, I’m not talking about Taekwondo
The technical roundhouse of ITF Taekwondo, or a quick whiplash roundhouse from WTF Taekwondo.
I started practicing Wado Ryu Karate about two years ago. Since that particular dojo wasn’t very good, I decided to take up WTF Taekwon-do from an internationally recognised (and very good) 6th dan instructor about 10 months ago. I love practicing, and I’d really like to become good. With that I mean, really good. Competition level good. I started pretty late (Karate at 16, Taekwon-do at 17, now 18) but I think I’ll be able to gain in on my lost time.
Now that you know a little bit about my background information, I was wondering if any of you could tell me which low-cost exercises (not requiring equipment. Such as running, swimming, shadowsparring, etc) would best complement my Taekwon-do training? I already started running/jogging but I’m not sure if it’ll help with what I want.
Thank you very, very much.
