Kung-Fu Movie Classics — where do I start?

After reading The RZA’s “The Wu-Tang” manual, I’m starting to get into kung-fu movies. But what are some kung-fu flicks/dvd’s that you recommend as a foundation/starting point? I don’t know where to start. I’m definitely looking for the movies “The 36th Chamber of Shaolin” and “Shaolin and Wu-Tang” though.

I’m particularly referring to the Shaolin movies that influenced the rap group “Wu-Tang Clan.” I’m guessing those are from the 70′s and 80′s. I own Enter The Dragon with Bruce Lee, and that’s it. The other ones I own are newer movies, like Hero, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and House of Flying Daggers… I liked Kill Bill 1 & 2, although it’s an American kung-fu movie, I thought it was still good.

Tai Chi Chuan Symposium

The Grand Showcase of Martial Arts was held one evening during the first International Tai Chi Chuan Symposium at Vanderbilt University in July of 2009. It was truly a remarkable event, a display of great martial arts skill. While it was intended for the Grandmasters of Tai Chi Chuan to perform in their individual styles, it also contained the performances of some world-class martial artists demonstrating their skills in Tai Chi Chuan and other internal martial arts. The event was held at Vanderbilt Universitys Blair School of Music Auditorium to a full audience. The show, emceed by Master Nick Gracenin, included the performance of the Center Directors of the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association displaying the first section of the 49 -movement demonstration form. This was followed by a team of five very young local students from a Nashville school of martial arts who beautifully performed a version of the Yang Style 24-form, for which they only had a few weeks to prepare. World-class martial artists Masters Su Zifang, Helen Wu, Nick Gracenin, and José Johnson did stunningly beautiful demonstrations of Baguazhang, Tai Chi fan, Liang Style Yi Chuan and Liang Style Xiao Yao Shuai, respectively. Dr. Yang Yang made things very lively by encouraging the audience to perform Interactive Qigong before his demonstration of his Evidence-Based Tai Chi routine, akin to Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan. The performances of the Tai Chi Chuan Grandmasters followed, starting with
