  1. Done Shibashi a while moved on to other forms.Forgot the movements, very well thought out session, with all the movements condensed, which helped me pick it up again.
    Thank You

  2. The setting is gorgeous; the music, often not soothing in other videos, is a great choice. The flow is very nice. Thank you. I think you might, after an intro make a close up so that the details ( hands, legs, feet ) can be grasped. Then at times go back to the original setting to let us enjoy the beautiful nature.

  4. Wonderful. Thanks for taking into account my humble suggestion . I just went to your “info” and found another two great videos of yours. It seems there’s a nascent movie director in you. The intro to the ” Purple Cloud” is another very nice setting. You probably have a nice video camera too. Keep them coming. Do you know I have downloaded about 300 YouTube videos on Qi Gong and Tai Chi??? Bit much, right?

  5. Thank you for the complimnet, yes I produce Tai Chi dvds as my other hobby, some are available on the web, popular forms (Yang 24, Combined 42, Sun) and feature my Tai Chi sister Angela Cantafio that you can also watch on YT.

Your set is inspiring – I love the flow of your moves. The music is perfect for TC Qigong – can you share what music you used?
    Thanks,

  10. @amfss350: thanks for the kind comment, but you certainly need to refer to the better executions of this form – and ultimately the creator of the form, dr Lin Hou Sheng – that you can watch by following the link above under This is a video response to…

  11. Thanks I watched it, there you see again that we “western”folks can’t compete with the “eastern” people which have more movebilety in their joints.Smotth and wave like moves.
Anyhow it’s worth giving it a try to get close to Dr Lin Hou Sheng moves.

  12. Hi Dan
Thanks for lovely video. I work as a physio in a brain injury outpatient unit. I practice Shibashi with my clients, who have impaired balance due to brain injury. They love it and exercises have shown great result (in their own words, not just by our outcome measure).
I would have loved to watch this video on a bit zoomed in, to see some beautiful small movement of hands, head etc. Though, I know, that will sacrifice the beautiful surroundings….

  13. it is heart-warming to learn that you put Shibashi to such good use! A close-up version has been long in planning and should arrive later in the year. Pls subscribe to be notified when uploaded.

  14. Hi,amfss350. Not to diminish the mastery of some or many “eastern” masters and not wishing to start a fiery discussion about the merits of this video, I wish to point at
cmpokhriyal comments. Different “strokes” for different folks. Some are aging, some are aching or disable. The music background choice, the flow and gentleness of the form, the beauty of the surroundings, the perfection of photography, all concur to make this a very special video which is inspiring and “helpful” to many.Namaste

I encountered this form some time ago in Beijing and then in Koh Tao (Thailand). It is amazing and you have produced something very special … thanks for helping me get back to a daily practice.

in the 2 excerise – before you do it you raise your arms = breathe in and when you open your arms = breath in again ?

so you should breath in 2 times in a row ? two inhales with no exhale in the midle ?
