I’ve been taking tai chi and bagua extensively for the last year and I recognize your moves but don’t see much foot work, we practice alot’ve stepping out to 45 degree angles to avoid attackers do you do that in your practicing too?

Not in our taichi but in the bagua yes. I dont teach bagua I once studied/practiced it and it applies the theory/method you are reffering to.

Im not a master but Im helping teach tai chi , bagua, and staff, I hate to say that Im better than anyone but every other style I’ve seen is sup par to these art forms, do you feel these art forms are supreme?

In my opinion Taiji has the potential to be supreme but it is only nieve of us to say that one art form is better than the other. It is up to who is the better man on the day

Nice video and demonstration. All legitimate applications; I see some wave hands like clouds in there as well as some brush knee twist step. Some nice chin na in there as well. One of the amazing things about tai chi is the way the postures of the form contain these martial “ideas”, with the applications of a posture just different reflections of the same basic idea. I look forward to more videos.

Wonderful form. I am looking for a Sifu in my area(Bastrop/Monroe, LA). Home study is good for keeping the forms learned in class sharp. However, for the novice(such as myself), a class would be more suitable.
Since I have some training I wouldn’t mind picking up your DVD collection to give myself at least a base coat of information on Tai Chi technique.

Sifu Luke, mad respect, I love the stuff I’ve seen so far, the Taijiquan and Raw Knife combat vids especially. Have to ask, what’s up with the clown shoes? Do they give you your magical powers?

Sifu Luke, these are excellent demonstrations of application from the Yang Taiji form, I dunno what these other guys are saying about it looking like Jiujitsu or Shaolin- it looks like great Taiji to me! Thanks so much for posting, please keep it up! No offense about the clown shoes comment, just playing in fun! I figure they must help you root pretty well

Epic ownage. I study Tai Chi Chuan as well as other forms of Kung Fu. Tai Chi Chuan combat application is very effective.
