If you’re a beginner, I would highly suggest practising yoga for less than an hour at first until your body gets more used to the stretching and holding your body up. I would start off doing it for half an hour.
Whether you take a class or practise at home is up to your personal preferences. Personally, I do both because I can’t always make it to a class.
